We made it safely to my parents farm in California. Along the way we spent a day in Denver with some old friends of mine. We spent that day exploring downtown and just driving around taking in the city. Lets just say that both Nick and I will always have a special place in our hearts for Denver and would be thrilled if we ever had the chance to live there!
Today is day two on the farm and its great to be back. We have a full house of 9! My sister Leah and her family are staying with my parents as well as a family friend. It's been great being home but also an adjustment. You see my parents have taken on a sustainable lifestyle since I moved out. They raise there own cows and chickens for meat, eggs and milk. They only eat organic and my mom makes everything from scratch! I love and admire them for the changes they have made in their lives but it is a change of pace from how we were eating when we lived with Nicks parents which involved a lot of dining out. Along with that we were assigned farm chores while we stay here. I am now responsible for the daily collecting of eggs and taking care of the new baby meat chickens. It is a change of pace for sure but I am enjoying helping out and being with my family.
Aside from that we have been getting Harley accustom to his new surroundings. It is going to take a while! He is a great puppy but has a hard time adjusting to new people and other animals. We are praying that he will be fully adjusted when it is time for us to leave in about two weeks.
That is about it for now. I will try and post some pictures soon!
